01
Review
In 2024, the number of economic and trade exhibitions in China remained stable, and the total exhibition area increased by 10 percent year-on-year, although it has not yet returned to the level of 2019. The number of outbound exhibition projects, participating enterprises, and overseas exhibition area all recorded year-on-year growth of more than 20%, reflecting strong momentum. Amid growing challenges at home and abroad, the exhibition industry has entered a new cycle of nstitutional restructuring.
02
Key Priorities
To align with the new development paradigm and advance high-quality growth, the Conference and Exhibition Work Committee will further strengthen collaboration across industrial chains and explore new avenues for serving the real economy. Since its establishment in 2012, the committee has brought together more than one hundred leading enterprises from across the entire exhibition ecosystem, forming an efficient and highly professional industry platform.
Recently, the committee has focused on enhancing international cooperation and member services. Initiatives include organizing a China-Japan Conference & Exhibition Economic and Trade Exchange Delegation to deepen practical cooperation with Japan, as well as providing policy interpretation and hands-on training to support member companies in navigating market challenges.
03
Future Outlook
Looking ahead, the committee will continue to strengthen the synergy between exhibition sector and related industries, develop a full-process service system to support companies in expanding globally, and prepare its annual meeting to high standards. It will further enhance the professionalism and precision of its services, help enterprises reduce costs and improve efficiency, and actively seek closer exchanges and cooperation with other industrial committees to jointly foster industry development.

General Manager, RAI China
We extend our sincere gratitude to the China Chamber of International Commerce for inviting RAI China to participate in the inaugural Joint Meeting and for establishing such a high-value platform.
The work report presented by the Conference and Exhibition Work Committee offered a profound analysis of the challenges confronting the exhibition industry amid industrial chain restructuring and heightened geopolitical risks, including surging international participation costs, tightening corporate budgets, and increasingly fierce competition. In the face of this complex situation, marked by “growth in volume but concerns over quality,” RAI China’s experience shows that the key lies in industrial collaboration, resource integration, and targeted services. For example, our “industrial clusters plus precise buyer matching” model in Eastern China has significantly improved the efficiency of client acquisition.
The work of the Conference and Exhibition Committee is of great importance. The collaborative platform it has built, such as the successful China–Japan exchange initiatives, enable meaningful resource integration. As a foreign-funded enterprise headquartered in the Netherlands, RAI China was honored to host leaders from CCPIT and CCOIC at our headquarters earlier this year. To support high-quality domestic enterprises in their global expansion, our team is also developing a “Cross-border Creative Service Package” designed to reduce the costs associated with going abroad.
Looking ahead, we hope to deepen our learning, exchange, and cooperation with the China Chamber of International Commerce, and work together to further strengthen the synergy between the Chamber and relevant industries.
