RAI Session

Yvette Hu, General Manager of Rui Ang Convent and Exhibition (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., delivered a presentation titled "Development Pathways for International Exhibition Companies in China in the New Era".

China's exhibition industry is entering a new phase characterized by structural upgrading and functional expansion. Against this backdrop, the deepening of global economic and trade cooperation, along with the advancement of China's "dual-circulation" strategy, is creating major opportunities for the sector. International exhibition companies, by drawing on their global resources, mature operational philosophies and cross-border integration capabilities, are uniquely positioned to accelerate the internationalisation of regional economies and industries across China.

She stressed that, RAI China, as a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Dutch RAI Exhibition Group in China, has been committed to building a two-way bridge between Chinese and international enterprises since its establishment in 2013. By introducing international exhibition brands into China and leading Chinese enterprises to participate in overseas shows, Rui China has created strong platform synergies in fields such as cleaning technology, water treatment and smart mobility. In 2025, the company will further launch several industry exhibitions in China, covering sectors including cleaning, water technology, and shipping, further promoting industry collaboration and innovation.

Ms. Hu also highlighted that Guizhou’s unique ecological endowment and industrial base provide rich application scenarios for the MICE industry. In her view, Guizhou’s practical experience in such areas as green industries, eco-tourism and wastewater treatment aligns closely with RAI China’s exhibition portfolio. Looking ahead, the exhibition platform can help bring Guizhou’s ecological products, environmental technologies and local enterprises onto a broader international stage.

She further noted that emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, VR and big data are reshaping the landscape of the MICE industry. RAI China will actively drive the digital transformation of exhibitions by introducing AI-powered matchmaking, intelligent navigation, and multilingual services. These initiatives are designed to enhance both the efficiency and experience of events, fostering a more open, intelligent, and sustainable exhibition ecosystem.

With a global perspective, RAI China leverages the century-old brand reputation and worldwide network of RAI Amsterdam to deepen its collaborations in the Chinese market. The company has established strategic partnerships with numerous industry associations, local governments, and research institutions, and has been repeatedly recognized with awards such as "Guangzhou Convention and Exhibition Partner" and the "Win-Win Cooperation Award."

This exchange session not only created a valuable platform for in-depth, sector-specific engagement between international and domestic exhibition enterprises, but also injected international resources and innovative thinking into emerging exhibition cities such as Guiyang. RAI China expressed its commitment to collaborating with all parties to explore pathways for high-quality development in the exhibition economy. Through exhibition platforms, the company aims to contribute to stimulating domestic demand and expanding foreign trade, delivering greater value in the new era of global cooperation.

RAI CHINA GM

RAI China sincerely expresses its gratitude to the China Convention & Exhibition & Event Society and the Guizhou Convention and Exhibition Industry Association for the invitation to the 2nd International Cooperation & Exchange Conference of MICE Industry and the 2nd MICE Professionals Lifelong Learning Festival, and for conferring the honorary title of "Guizhou Exhibition Industry Development Consultant".

Through this event, I have gained a deep appreciation for Guiyang's foresight and determination in developing its MICE economy, as well as the strong commitment and sustained investment the municipal government has devoted to the exhibition industry.

As a multinational exhibition organiser, RAI China currently organises domestic events in sectors such as cleaning, water technology and horticulture—areas that closely align with Guizhou’s priorities in ecological civilisation construction and green industry development. We are committed to leveraging our global platform and resources to support local enterprises in Guizhou by connecting them with domestic and international markets, technologies, capital and policy resources. Through the power of exhibitions, we aim to help Guiyang transform its ecological advantages into industrial competitiveness, and its unique local characteristics into sustainable development drivers.
